Hello everyone,
I hope this message finds you all doing well. I recently heard from one of our former vets who worked with us back in 2013, and I wanted to share an update on what they’ve been up to.
They have been running a non-profit from their sailboat and have just finished a major refit. During their time in a small town in Mexico, they were able to set up the first spay and vaccine campaigns in the area with the help of our funding. Now that they’re in the Sea of Cortez, they are hoping to do some wildlife work and set up similar campaigns in two boat-access only villages that don’t have access to veterinary services.
They are currently doing a fundraiser to help pay for this work, which costs around $100 per animal for vaccines, flea/tick, wormer, and spay. I wanted to share their link (https://chuffed.org/project/thesailingvetclinic) in case anyone is interested in donating or learning more about their work.
They also release episodes of their work to attract donors and share with family, so I thought you might be interested in their latest one (https://youtu.be/H_FJ7_R_Afo).
Thanks for taking the time to read this and considering their cause.
