Over the last 23 years our family have used the veterinary services, puppy training school and grooming services of East Bundaberg Veterinary Hospital for our dogs, cat, guinea pigs and rat. I can not fault the service we have received. The caring nature and concern for each of our animals has been above and beyond. Needless to say that our cat Misty lived to 19 years and our recently departed dog Muffin lived to 17 years. I will miss the friendships I made at East Bundaberg Veterinary Hospital with special mention to the original owner Dr David Challen, current owner Dr LeRoy & practice manager Lynelle.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After my third session at puppy pre-school I am grateful to be noticing how the puppies are growing in awareness of each other. I’ve valued the input regarding my puppy and the challenges of his breed. I am beginning to see the results of using the tips I’ve been given in class. Tips have included how to assess if your puppy is really getting hurt by rough puppy play or not, how to allow some rough interaction and when to intervene and apply regulating input, ways to encourage skill development and the advantages of a harness over a collar. While I think it is challenging having different breeds and being in an enclosed space I have learnt a lot. It was exciting to see other softer breeds develop resilience and ability to set limits with my puppy who is extremely boisterous. I’m grateful as he is learning to bow down, submit and interact more appropriately. Although there are thousands of you tube Training clips they vary a lot and ultimately I’m finding face to face support helps me find the appropriate techniques for my puppy. Expecting a calm controlled environment with a room full of puppies is an unrealistic expectation especially if a range of breeds and a range of experience if handlers is present.
